Funkwerks Deceit (Belgian-Style Golden Ale)

"I love that funkwerks does a few styles extremely well rather than many styles with varying success. This one has some citrus and spice. Definitely belgian style. Clean, slightly spicy finish without any malt flavors. Loads of flavor but extremely quaffable especially considering the 8.5 abv."

Comments:

"Do all of their beers use belgian yeast?"

Alex Dixon - December 2017

"Their website shows French-style saison yeast, a proprietary saison yeast, lactobacillus and I know, Sollena, which I love, is Brett. So not all Belgian but lots of lesser used strains."

"So wild and funky yeasts."

Alex Dixon - December 2017

"Yes, it seems that's their niche and that they're focused on exploring all of it's variations and possibilities."
